Okay, after owning this van longer than I’ve ever owned any other vehicle, 18 years, it’s time to sell it. We just don’t use it enough anymore. I just had to put a new battery in it because it’s been sitting. Here’s the story:
It’s been in 47 of the 48 states and all of the provinces except the maritimes. No clue as to the miles, proably something in the range of 200k. Among other things, we used it as a towed vehicle in our job delivering motorhomes all over the nation, so most of its miles were put on while being towed behind big coaches. It brought me down to Texas and was my house and office while working on Katrina cleanup. It’s been to a lot of micro breweries and to almost every truck stop in the nation! I’m the third owner. The other two owners were a local realtor and a local chef. It has always been a Eugene bus.
It needs work including a windshield, pop top canvas, ball joints and someday maybe a 1.9 from someone’s Subaru conversion or maybe a Subaru engine of its own. The engine had a valve job about 5 years ago. It runs great, has normal power but is getting old. The body is rust free, never wrecked, plenty of paint chips and some minor dents. Tires are heavy duty and pretty new. It drives great and everything works. Oh, and it has cruise control! It also has front seats with arm rests, alloy wheels and a tach from a later model. And a class 3 receiver trailer hitch.
Insurance is on it, tags are good till July of 2016 (it’s registered as a motorhome so it is CHEAP to insure) and the title is clear and in my name. Call if you have any questions. Allan
