More Details & Pictures
We are selling our 1984 Westfalia pop top camper.
We’ve loved having this capable rig over the past decade, enabling us to stay warm and dry as we enjoyed all what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We’re selling her because we need some more room for our growing family.
We’ve done loads of work on her over the years, here’s a short list of what we’ve replaced/updated:
Rebuilt 1.9L engine, including camshaft (most rebuilds are only the top end)
Fuel injectors
Fuel pressure regulator
Alternator
Fuel lines
Water pump
Oil pump
Computer (ECU)
Throttle body
Transmission (manual)
Muffler
Rebuilt tie rod ends
Rebuilt axles
Bearings
Brake calipers and brakes
Heavy duty Westy-specific Bilstein shocks
Fuel pump
Stereo with Bluetooth
Propane tank
Auxiliary battery
Wasserstopper
Custom Insulated window coverings
Custom Insulation for the canopy
ARB awning
And more.
The body is straight with minor dings and rust spots here and there. The fridge works on electric and usually works on propane – we love using the fridge for our food and put our drinks in coolers. The stove works great. The General A/T tires are amazing with way better handling than stock tires and have lots of tread left on them. It has 219,898 miles with ~25,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. The engine runs strong.
This is a great opportunity to get into a well loved westy and enjoy exploring during all 4 seasons. With the insulated canopy and windows, we easily camped and stayed cozy in the middle of winter at our favorite ski resorts!
Come take a look and make us an offer, we’d be happy to give you a tour and introduce you to your next adventure vehicle!
