1982 VW Vanagon Westfalia

This Westfalia runs and drives great and is in excellent shape overall. Shifts through all gears smoothly and has plenty of power. Steering is tight and it stops quickly. Holds 65+ on the highway confidently without any shakes or noises and stays cool. Has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder aircooled engine backed by a manual 4 speed transmission. Mileage is 158,884 as of 3/7/22.

Features all of the original Westfalia full camper amenities:
-two beds (sleeps 4)
-tons of storage cabinets
-stove and built in propane tank
-sink with built in water tank
-two tables
-both front seats swivel
-fridge that can run on 12v, 120, or propane (not sure if this works, we have always used a cooler)
-hookups for power and water

Has been in my family for the past 10 years (my dad owned it before me). Lots of money and love has been poured into this van and it shows. I have over $12,000 in receipts over the past 10 years and have all maintenance documentation. The van has been regularly driven and maintenance has been kept current. Our family has used the van for many fun camping trips and it has never left us stranded. We have driven the van across the state multiple times with no issues. This is a great example of a complete mechanically sound aircooled Westfalia that has been well maintained and looks great inside and out.

-engine top end rebuild with new heads, cylinders, pistons, and seals in 2013
-distributor replaced in 2013
-starter replaced in 2013
-fuel injectors replaced in 2012
-front brake hoses replaced in 2014
-both CV axles replaced in 2017
-muffler replaced in 2017
-heater boxes replaced in 2017
-AFM replaced in 2014
-gas tank resealed in 2017
-poptop works well with newer seals and 3 window canvas replaced in 2012
-all new foam and upholstery for all seats and the beds installed in 2017
-sink works great with new pump and faucet in 2013
-stove works well
-added cylinder head temp gauge
-lights, wipers, gauges, stereo all work well
-undercarriage is in great shape and not rusty, never driven in winter so has not seen salt
-clean title and carfax (on hand)
-fresh oil change, air filter, and fuel filter in the past 300 miles

Cons
-tires will need to be replaced soon (they were last replaced in 2012)
-has rust around some windows and some seam rust
-unsure if fridge works, we always used a cooler instead
-had AC at one point but is no longer connected
-blower for heat stopped working recently but heat does work as well as aircooled VW heat can
-headliner could use replacement
