1985 VW Vanagon GL – 1.9L Westfalia camper – $17,000
4 speed manual, water-cooled
Two owners lifetime, both based in Montana – NO RUST.

Purchased from a family in Billings in 1995 at 75,000 miles. It now has 169,000 miles, including an engine rebuild at 135,000 miles.

Original paint, upholstery and cabinets. Clean interior. Kitchenette includes a two-burner stove and sink. I removed the refrigerator for more storage space. Both front seats have fully-rotating swivel bases. Includes original extra seats (one single, one double bench seat to accommodate more passengers – never used). Two tables. Sleeps four in fold-down rear bench and pop-up loft. Plug-in electric and water hookups. Bug screen for rear hatch area.

Well-maintained – engine overhaul at 135,000, followed by refurbished fuel tank and associated parts, new front and rear springs, steering rack boots, cv boots, all tie rod ends, rear wheel bearings, clutch master cylinder, cooling tank and cooling fan, starter solenoid, fresh water pump, left side rocker arms, lifters and push rod tubes. December 2021 work included engine block drain plug repair and new dash bulbs, battery, rear axles and boots, roof vent cover and tires. In March 2022, had a full inspection at Straight Away

Motors, Bozeman, with new speedometer cable, engine belts, back up light switch and wiper blades. Sale includes an extra set of new Bosch fuel injectors and parts from engine overhaul.

Engine oil plug still has very minor leak even after Go Westy repair kit installed. AC does not work. There are two small dents in front driver side and slight bend in rear bumper. Original pop-up tent has a stain on one side and screen has been repaired. Closet liner is torn.
