This Westfalia van is a project. It does not have an engine in it and it’s not running either.

Sorry, had to make that clear for some people. Also, if ad is posted, I still have this. Not responding to spam type inquiries like: do you still have this? I have it listed on marketplace and cl as for sale. I might trade for a running driving vintage car or truck. If you have a running driving Vanagon for trade, contact me. Also would consider trading for a nice bike. Triumph, Norton, BMW, moto guzzi. No Japanese or Chinese type please.

89 camper had an engine fire a few yrs back. I bought it at auction and have papers and receipts, all legal with dmv as I showed it to them recently. I also towed it to the or dmv recently, and had the vin inspected. New owner can now apply for a title in Oregon, in their name, and should be a clear title. Doesn’t make sense to put in my name, then new owner redoes it (also it costs $280).

Price is $5,750 as you see it in the pix. Comes with the oem 4 spd trans at that price. It’s $7,050 with all the interior parts as well as a new ac box for back window plus a complete working ac setup. Most everything is there. I also have another engine harness if you want a stock engine setup.

I also have a running and complete oem 2.1l engine in good shape. Complete and purchased from smallcar in tacoma (from a suby swap). The engine described is an additional $500.

I intended to drop in the engine and have it running to sell, but my health is not good and must let it go as-is. I have the 4 spd tranny that came in the car. Looks rebuilt but I don’t know it’s condition. Damage to rear qtr panel is not bad. I have purchased a replacement steel panel. Pictures show new pass seat that matches all new interior pieces. I have a matching oem pass seat if you prefer) I found a like new bed for the upper bunk. In pretty nice shape. I cleaned it up really well and removed the scorched upholstery and the tent. Does not smell. I prefer the weekender style and I have purchased a nice folding seat/bed, with matching eng pad along with matching jump-seats and mounting brackets. Was going for the gowesty pvc wall/door panels. But, I have only the slider door panel now. Power steering and roll up windows, key locks (non-electric) so no elec issues.

I know many people like the westy interior so it’s in place if new owner would rather it. Easy to source a replacement cabinet. With wkndr seats, the stove/reefer boxes can stay (the rest go). Best of both worlds. I have the stock westy black trimmed slide/window for the sliding door as well as keyed lock for sliding door.

At present, brakes are good as I inspected all the wheels. This is a worthy project. Front end feels tight. P.O. Had replaced the water pipes underneath with stainless pipes (big bucks). You could drop in a Subaru with subie-gears tranny and have a nice screamer.
