Extra clean, well maintained and lovingly cared for second owner vehicle purchased on April 14, 1996 from Bellevue Autosports. This van comes complete with all records, repair receipts, rocket box and lots of extras including parts from GoWesty. Body and mechanical systems are in excellent condition. Only 60,000 miles since a comprehensive 2.2L Subaru engine conversion in 2013 and less miles since replacement of other major mechanical systems including the transmission, clutch, fuel system lines, brakes, water pump, starter, alternator and radiator. Other post-conversion receipts show work for power windows, skylight assembly and seals, coolant system, pop-up canvas install with roof ceiling cleaning, and routine maintenance. Body restoration, repairs and new paint in 2017 and 2020 by Holman’s body shop. There is very minor damage to rear passenger side fender and few signs of wear since 2020. The refrigerator was removed professionally with cabinet and panel remaining intact.
Receipts are filed in three folders; “Vanaru Paint” with receipts from Holman’s Body and Fender for body restoration and repair work done 2017 – 2020, “Pre-Subaru” for work done prior to the 2.2L conversion, and “Post Subaru Conversion” for work done to replace engine with Subaru 2.2L and related work by Jens Stockler in Springfield, OR, and all work thereafter. The van is also referred to in receipts as, 1989 VW Vanagon GL Camper Automatic 3D Van 4-2.1L (2.2L Conversion).
There are some packaged parts in the van from GoWesty and many other practical items such as fluids, jumper cables, GPS and other van camping items remain organized, ready for another adventure!
