Up for sale is a cherry 1985 VW Vanagon (Westfalia) with pop-up camper.
You can sleep two upstairs and two downstairs. With 158,000 original miles, the 2.1 Liter engine and transaxle were professionally rebuilt by GoWesty (San Luis Obispo, CA) approximately 30,000 miles ago. GoWesty, the premier restoration destination for VW vans on the West Coast, replaced numerous parts during the engine/transmission rebuild. The van has since been professionally maintained by Kotter’s VW (Escondido) and Paradise VW (San Marcos) and it runs like a top. The gauge cluster was recently upgraded. Always garaged, the exterior has been nicely painted with all new rubber and seals on the windows and camper lid, respectively. The tires have less than 5,000 miles on them. The interior has been fully restored with all new upholstery, curtains, tenting, and carpeting (with protective rubber floor mats), and all windows have been tinted. The entire interior and exterior looks new.
Please note that the gas stove, sink, and refrigerator were all decommissioned (removed) in order to keep it simple, trouble-free and mechanically reliable. The van has never left me stranded. I relocated the bumper seat to where the stove/refrigerator used to be in order to create a more roomy floor plan. The van is a joy to drive to the beach and hang out. You’ll receive plenty of looks and compliments while driving this. I have all the service records and a Carmax report to document the integrity of this ad. I have over $30,000 invested in it and am willing to sell for $20,000. Firm. Thanks for checking out my ad.
