1983 VW Vanagon Adventure Wagon Class B Camper Van.
I bought this vehicle on an online auction in June 2021 and then was not able to arrange transport so I flew to San Diego and drove it back to Kentucky by way of a trip across the 110 degree desert to Las Vegas then to Hoover Dam Followed by a stop at the Grand Canyon. Other than the A/C not working at that time and a top speed of around 65 and even less climbing the mountains I was amazed how comfortable it was and how well this van did driving 8+ hours a day in extreme outdoor temperatures, it ran cool and purred right along.
Everything works. It has a 13 gallon fresh water tank and 13 gallon holding tank, propane heater and stove, propane tank, sink and refrigerator.
Sleeps 4 with a full fold out and full size loft bed. Overhead storage and plenty of cabinet space. Several flip out tables along with a full size dining table. Comes with two vintage matching lawn chairs. Runs and drives great, 4 speed manual transmission.
I removed the fuel tank and replaced all the gaskets and fuel lines. I recharged the A/C and it’s still cooling today. I installed upgraded halogen head lights. The complete brake system was replaced just before I purchased and the engine was was replaced around 58,000 miles ago. Has been Garage kept since I’ve owned it.
