1983 VW Vanagon L Camper with a 1.9L water-cooled engine. It’s a great adventure worthy van and has treated me well on my road trips.
The van comes equiped with a sink and hand pump faucet connected to both gray and fresh water tanks. Two AC power outlets interior and an offshore plug-in ready for when you need it. The van has an ice-box with water collection tray and drain out the floor so on hot summer days you don’t have to worry about draining the cooler, just throw in some more ice. The rear bench seat is perfect for eating meals at the removable table, but when night falls the bench folds down into a queen size bed.
The van is ready to hit the road! Over the years nearly every issue that arose has been addressed and fixed. Many smaller less durable parts such as belts, seals, and hoses have been replaced. I have documentation of the maintenace done. For the bigger maintenance last summer I had Accurate Import Center install a new fuel tank, fuel pump, filler neck, and gas cap with all new seals and hoses. Last year the starter was replaced, bearings serviced, and the brake system bled with new calipers, pads, and rotors installed. In the last couple months I installed a new oxygen sensor and ignition switch. Brand new Michelin All-season Tires that handle well even in snow.
There’s a few comesmetic dings and rust spots but nothing too noticeable or serious. I also have a roof rack and top box available.
