This van was great to me! I had it in 32 states over four years. Then five years ago it broke down and I haven’t had the means or time to fix it.
The good:
-new transmission installed about 30k ago
-new fuel pump
-interior is in good shape including wood paneling
-original curtains and screens are in good shape (except for the two window screens)
-all camping equipment is functional
-canvas tent is in decent shape (needs cleaning, but otherwise fine)
The bad:
-it is NOT running. This means you will have to tow it away at your expense
-will need new tires for sure
-classic left side lower panel rust
-there are a number of small little projects, I’m sure- it’s a Westy after all!
This is really for someone who love these vans as a hobby or for a professional who flips them.
I think 2k is a fair price- its worth far more than that in parts alone.
