Water cooled; 4 speed manual transmission; gets about 28 miles per gallon.
When I bought this vehicle in 2003 I was told by the owner that he was the original owner. I have run it almost exclusively on biodiesel. If one wanted to look at it I have a folder with receipts for every single repair I’ve ever made on it. But the most relevant receipts are for replacing the engine in 2010 and more recently in 2021 an injection pump & injectors rebuild and most recently on 10/10/2022 I bought a new battery.
It was not designed to be a camper van, but shortly after I bought it I got a carpenter to build a platform in it so I could comfortably sleep in it. To use the platform the middle seat has to be taken out. With all the seats in it seats 7.
The factory system for the windshield washer water fell apart and a new system that is filled from back by the engine was installed. The window on the passenger side has sometimes leaked a little. Besides that, it is running well and I hate to part with it, but where I now live in Mendocino County I do not have good access to biodiesel and I don’t want to run it on diesel. I will be in the Bay Area for Thanksgiving and around then would be a good time to see it and do a test drive.
