120 000 miles listed when van was bought. Approx. 8000 miles added since engine rebuild. Oil change every 3000 miles
Known transmission leak. We’ve had to top the transmission fluid off every couple hundred miles. Failure to do so has occasionally led to smoke. Took it to a mechanic and was told is a faulty seal/gasket. Currently talking to mechanic about fixing the gasket issue. Current price is for as is. Once operable, price will go up to its value (28,000)
I bought this Vanagon after separating from the military with the intention of traveling the US but am now deciding to go to school. She has taken me from Va-Fl-Oh-Wa-Az and was doing great the whole time. The transmission issue has been inconvenient but it’d be an easy fix I simply don’t have time for. I need a daily commute vehicle so am selling my beloved VW. Let my loss be you gain, she is a real gem.
(Would be willing to trade for a decent truck with a camper bed included if both are in good, working condition)
