More Details & Pictures
She is a beautiful 1989 VW Westfalia with a rebuilt GoWesty engine. Original paint. No rust! Presently, she has 224,000 miles on odometer. (Engine swap at 209,129 mi., odometer not reset)
Over $25K invested in last 4 years. The previous owner took special care to break in the new motor, which now has a little over 14,000 miles on a completely rebuilt and GoWesty 2450cc engine, ~124 hp,. Replaced transaxle at the time of engine swap, which has 60,000 miles on it. She has all new hoses, all new belts, and much more (see below).
I am the 4th owner. First owners were a nice couple from Arizona who brought the van over from Germany. The 2nd owners were a British couple who owned her for several years while visiting the states. The 3rd owners were a great family from Minneapolis that took annual summer vacations, mostly out west. I have taken her on a handful of cross country trips in the last 18 months and she did great! I have most of the repair and new equipment receipts from every owner, including my own service history and van purchases which are available for your review.
