More Details & Pictures
This 1984 Vanagon has been converted to a basic camper van. The seats were removed and a platform bed, foam mattress and built-in table were added. It drives like a champ, takes hills well, has great shocks, newish tires, roof rack, custom curtains, recent oil and oil filter change, and many add-ons. It has great heat but no AC. It’s a 4-speed stick shift without power steering. It is not a pop-up.
The original engine has been replaced with a ’96 VW Golf “crate motor” with 32.5K miles. Here are the techy specs:
2.0L 1984cc, 121Cu. In., gas SOHC naturally-aspirated
inline 4-cylinder, 115 hp 5,400 rpm, 20/28 mpg (23 combined)
‘She’ is is tightly sealed and free of synthetic cleaners, mildew and mold. In the worst of rainstorms, you will be nice and dry and comfy in the brand new double bed. Great for camping and for full-timing if you live lightly.
I am an elder now so I need to let her go 🙁
