Excellent example of a VW Westfalia for sale. My family and I have enjoyed this classic camper over the last two summers. The Westy experience is timeless, and brings with it a camaraderie not found in any other outdoor community. This Westfalia has many of the most critical components updated. The body and interior are in good to excellent condition for the year, and provide a fantastic foundation for continued updates and personalization.

This Westfalia is equipped with an air conditioning unit. I have never used it, and can not speak to it’s effectiveness, but it is was a factory option in this year. There is a small leak in the power steering pump, but no fluid is visible on the ground where the van is parked, so I watch the fluid level. There are no leaks visible where the vehicle is parked. The regulator or the propane tank need to be replaced. I purchased this vehicle from a friend who owned it for 13 years. During this time, and while I have owned the vehicle the stove, sink and refrigerator have not been used. I do not like the smell of cooked food permeating the interior, so was not motivated to resolve the propane system. The stove and components are in excellent appearance. When not in use, this vehicle has been stored indoors for at least the last 15 years.

The odometer mileage on the chassis does not represent the mechanical and foundational condition. The engine and transaxle have 34,4xx miles on them. The coolant and fuel lines are less than a year old. There is no condensation rust from the refrigerator, and a very minimal amount of surface rust on the year quarter panel. This was a CA vehicle until it’s move to UT. 

Owning a Westfalia enters you into a kinship of nostalgia and of simpler times. This van is over 30 years old and as such, it should be expected that there will be ongoing maintenance. With the proper attention, these vehicles provide their owners with an experience that truly can not be found any other way.
