1990 VW Westfalia looking for her new home!

Vanagon model with the Westfalia Pop Top. We are the 3rd owners. She’s been regularly serviced and well maintained. Records have consistently been kept since 2006, we purchased her in 2016 with 146,695 miles. Her name is Ruby, although it used to be Redtail.

Ruby has been an amazing camper for our family but we are starting a year or more of international travel and feel it is time for her to find a new adventure partner.

If you’re on the hunt for a van I probably don’t need to tell you how incredible and hard to find these vans are. Compact enough with the gas mileage to be your daily driver, and decked out with all the features to be an absolute game changer for camping and life on the road.

The Good:
-Reconditioned VW engine installed 2007 at 91,230 miles

-clutch repaired at 123,028 miles
-Water pump and alternator replaced at 125,025 miles
-rear bench seat retrofitted with shoulder strap safety belts 2016
-most recently tuned up at 151, 564
– Very clean. In excellent shape given the age and mileage.
– 2” Trailer hitch, great for a bike rack, never been used for towing
– Roof rack sytem for bikes, ski rack, rocket box etc
– Seats 5 and sleeps 4 comfortably
– Bench seats fold out into a queen mattress with storage underneath

– Awning is in good shape

The Bad:
Front left lens cover is cracked
Front left headlight does not work although high beam does
Coolant light flashes on startup fairly consistently.
