This van serves me faithfully as a weekend excursion vehicle. It’s rear wheel drive automatic 2.1L engine. I am the third owner of this great van. The first two were brothers who maintained it exceptionally well.
All records or repair, maintenance, and customization are available. This van has a fair number of small things that need fixing but it is mechanically sound- the engine, frame, shocks, and wheels are in great shape.
The Good:
• 2nd engine with 2 new cylinder heads that have been installed in the last 5 thousand miles
• Supercharged alternator
• Recently tuned up a t a local VW repair shop
• Main transmission seal recently replaced and transmission inspected
• Includes factory repair manual
• The upholstery is in good shape; clean with no rips or tears
• Practically new foam bedding
• Original curtains and custom tailored sheets
• The stove works but not the auto light feature
• New designer floor mats
• Custom JBL speakers
The Not so Good:
• Smaller dings and slight rust over wheel well “see photo”
• Small rip in top canvas
• Front left speaker disconnected (new one included)
• Squeaky brake pads
• Front right bushing may be going out
• Throttle control valve is not properly seated resulting in slightly high idling when in park or neutral
• AC has been removed
• The odometer is currently not working as it wasn’t reattached with the new engine
• Front right visor needs repair
• Refrigerator and sink are not connected though all parts to reconnect are included
Overall this is a great van prices to sell. I am looking to switch to a vehicle more suited to a commuter lifestyle. Call or text with any questions. First reasonable offer accepted!
