Selling my 1986 Westy, (clear title in my name)
I have gone thru this van very thoroughly, too many new parts to list, incl all new window seals, new pop top fabric, new whynter fridge etc.
It will do 70mph with reliability because it has a 1997 Subaru engine paired to VW automatic installed myself with a mix of small car, RMW, Burley, and van-cafe parts.
Even has cold AC, because I installed the small car in-dash Air Conditioning!
The van is far from perfect cosmetically, but is an extremely good value considering I am losing alot of money from what I have spent on it over the years.
We have tent camped for decades, and have enjoyed this van having taken it on a two-week road trip up to Pittsburgh as recently as June.
I have removed the fridge, and sink/stove combo at the moment because we are more than comfortable cooking outside on our Coleman camp stove which fits perfectly where the sink/stove combo originally was.
As well have installed a whynter 48qt AC/DC fridge with auxiliary battery that is double the size of the dinky original fridge.
All original parts included. I still have the fridge and sink/stove and nothing I’ve done is permanent so it can be easily returned to original if you so desire.
For full details, text or call me, my name is Paul.
