Moving at the end of the month and sadly there is no room for “Nacho”. We purchased Nacho at the beginning of COVID and have taken her all over California. She has been so good to us, only requiring regular maintenance and use. We always have her packed up. with bare essential for the quick weekend escape – coastal or desert.
– Interior is pretty much all original and in decent condition.
– All the curtains are in good condition – washed them when I first got it.
– Seats & Cushions are in OK Condition
– Top and Bottom Beds
– The stove works but we have never cooked inside
– Sink pump works, however, the water holding tank is missing the bottom cap.
– The fridge is all in tact, however, I have been unsuccessful at getting it to work – Propane or AC/DC – Too small anyway
– Replaced the canvas top with a new and improved one from GoWesty
– She came equipped with AC – all of the parts are still intact however it does not work. Probably best that it doesn’t for fear of overheating.
– Alloy “Mercedes” wheel for wider tires and better handling
– Automatic Transmission rebuilt 30K miles ago
– 250K miles with plenty of pep left – Cruises up steep grades with a load – Sometimes I have to drop her into 2nd but she will hold at 40MPH and get over the grade.
– 2.1L motor water cooled
She has rust in the usual spots that should be taken care.
Prior to me owning her, she was rear ended in DTLA and insurance company wrote it off as a total loss.
I have some maintenance / repair invoices from the previous owners.
Trips we have taken in the past 2 years:
Death Valley – 2X
Anza Borrego – 2X
Joshua Tree – 2X
Alabama Hills
Up and down the Coast – as far as Jenner
Big Sur & SLO
Many spur of the moment trips to Leo Carillo, Sycamore Springs, El Capitan and Ventura
She is a really great setup for weekend escapes out of LA.
I do not reply to “is it still available?”
