More Details & Pictures
I brought the van up from California where it spent its entire life. Between myself and the previous owner, all of the big upgrades have been done, as seen below. It is ready to go while giving you the opportunity to chip away at other restorations, upgrades, and personal touches.
Engine & Drivetrain
* The van is powered by a rebuilt 2.1L “wasserbox” engine (15% more powerful than stock, and controlled by the newer computer system digifant produced by bosch, and used in vanagons until the end of production). This engine swap was done 30,000 miles ago, and with that swap, all fuel lines, going to, and from the engine were replaced. The body has 230k miles, but the whole drivetrain and engine was overhauled at 200k. Many more miles of life left in this van. The van drives smooth, and cruises comfortably at highway speeds. A recent tune-up includes new spark plugs, ignition wiring, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, high torque starter, oil change, oil filter.
* Clutch replaced at the same time as the engine swap
* Brakes are solid
Camper Details
* New Go-Westy Propane tank
* Working stove, and fridge
* New carpet on entire inside, and carpet covers.
* Solar system installed with a controller, inverter, and auxiliary battery that charges off the alternator, or solar panel. It is a plugin ready system, but the panel is not included because I will let the new owner choose their needs based on how they expect the use of the van (portable panel vs. mounted panel, high vs. low watt-hour) usually these will run around $100-200.
* Both fold down beds are comfortable and in good condition
* Front privacy screen, and rear bug screen included.
* New Go-Westy hookups for electricity, and water.
* Swivel front seats
* Rear bench table
* All Cabinets latch and work as expected
* Bluetooth stereo system with surround sound speakers. Stereo is wired with an independent switch that will allow it to run off the auxiliary battery, powered by either solar or while the vehicle is running.
* New Go-Westy 2″ lift kit with like-new All-Terrain tires
* Fire extinguisher
Body
* As mentioned above the van is its original paint color, but some recent professional bodywork has been done to make the exterior look very good and to get rid of a few areas of concern for rust. The van is overall rid of any major rust.
Upcoming Maintenance & Other items
* Van is fully ready for AC, but it is missing an AC compressor. The compressor was removed by the previous owner.
* Heat blower needs replacing. The heat works while driving, but while idling the blower does not engage.
We have had the van professional detailed inside and out, it is ready for your next adventure. Contact me with questions, and offers. I have the Carfax report to share upon request.
