I’ve had the van for 2 years. Registration was just renewed this month and I just smogged it. The odometer is stuck at 200k. The oil and fuel pressure are within spec. It runs great. I’ve done whatever mechanical thing it needed post inspection and made a few upgrades and there are no leaks.

-the previous transmission worked, but had a loud whine. So I replaced it with a good used one from an 89′ with 75k miles on it.

I’m a VW tech and work on these regularly so I used all the best parts available for these vans. I’ve taken her out to Big Sur and north of Salt Point. She’s ready to see more of what’s out there.
