For sale is my 1983.5 VW Westfalia full camper with about 100K miles and a 1.9L water cooled H4 engine. This van has lived in Albuquerque, NM for almost its entire life, with one meticulous owner until I bought it last summer. The body on this van is VERY clean, and only has some small rusting near one of the windows. If you are looking to do a restore on a van this could be a great vehicle to work from as I have already addressed many of the common points of failure. I had the summer off and wanted a fun vehicle to play around in and fix up (I’ve enjoyed it thouroughly, but my circumstances have changed).

The tent zipper is kind of broken, and I have used some iron-on velcro to make it functional, although I think an upholstery shop could do a new one pretty easily.

The stove and sink work great, but I’ve not put any effort into getting the fridge running, so I’m not sure what sort of work it needs. I’ve found that using a large cooler works great on longer trips.

I am only trying to get out of this van what I’ve got into it. I’d like to the next person who owns it to enjoy it as much as I have.

As I’m now back in graduate school, this vehicle doesn’t fit my needs as much as it did previously, and I’m considering purchasing a newer vehicle as my daily driver.

I’ll consider all offers but DON’T lowball me. Spend a little bit of time looking around to see what these vans (in good shape) are going for these days.
