Up for sale is a vintage 1982 VW Vanagon Westfalia Camper Van with a 1.6L gas engine and 4 speed manual transmission.

The entire interior has been restored meticulously with all the original Westfalia cabinetry being in excellent shape. Even the mattresses / bench are still in amazing shape considering their age. Can sleep 4 people! Everything has been given an interior feel of “coffee & creme”, which matches perfectly to the original Westfalia components. Custom made curtains / headliners / and paneling. Due to time constraints, I was unable to get the van painted, but figured that the next owner would appreciate being able to choose what color to paint the body / pop top. As such, the brand new 3 window pop top canvas that I will include (along with many other additional items and original equipment) still needs to be installed. This should be done after taking the pop top down and getting it painted. The body is in great shape with almost no rust, due to being Florida kept. A lot of the body work has also been done, but paint shops usually appreciate doing it, so that they know the car better when painting it.

The Westy comes with a complete and working electrical setup, which includes a deep cycle battery / inverter / RV hookups / 3 way Dometic fridge / 2 burner propane gas grill / kitchen sink with own fresh water tank / various lighting accesories / aftermarket radio with Aux line in. The Westfalia van also has the original swivel chair and 2 adjustable / rotating desks. Additionally, I’ve added customized bumper guards to the front and back of the van complete with offroad lights. The original bumpers will also be included. The van also has a customized flat tow assembly that let’s you tow it behing your RV or car to use a vacation vehicle.

The whole brake system has been overhauled and redone with all new parts. Nice and hard pedal. Shifting and clutch are also smooth. The tires are brand new and have seen very little miles. The engine is still needs a bit of adjustment, but the Vanagon can be driven. This Westy originally had the 1.9L diesel engine in it, but someone before me converted it to a gas engine. There are also conversion kits out there that let you swap in a more powerful Subaru engine. These vans are very mechanically friendly and fun / easy to work on.
