Updated due to recent responses. This isn’t going to be your cheap RV/camper option… Collectors drive the values on these vans. I have well over $20,000 into this bus. I would like to find a good buyer who will take care and enjoy the van. I also need to make it worth both parties investments. Make a reasonable offer… Worst I can say is no.

1982 Diesel camper van that was converted to a 1.8L VW digifont gas motor. Has really great power. The van is probably one of the better vehicles you will see in your search for a Vanagon. It has some surface rust only at the “joints” of the body panels that you can see in the pictures… This is from the one and only winter it didn’t get into storage in time. This is truly surface rust. I don’t know of one spot on the van that has any rust that has protruded the surface and caused any bubbling… This is a great body. Underside of van has zero rust and looks like it is a California car.

Transmission had the classic flaw that caused it to stay stuck in gear. I had the transaxle sent out for a complete rebuild, including adding a taller 4th gear last year and it has only seen a few hundred miles. this baby now hums at 70+ MPH with no issues and at low RPMs.

Stove works just fine, brand new water pump for the faucet (however knob on the faucet broke so needs replaced) that cranks the water out fast, fridge runs on electrical but not the gas… Needs to be pulled and have the lines cleaned (you see this a lot). Canvas three window tent top is in great condition. seats are in good condition. Van has a small oil leak that I haven’t had time to look at. I’m guessing its around the oil pan, but don’t know for sure. This is a super solid van that needs a home with someone who will use it as it’s intended.
