1981 VW full camper. I bought in 2013 and have used it very little. around 87k miles.
The Good:
Has been in indoor storage for the last 4 years.
The Camper looks awesome inside and out.
The front seats were redone in the original fabric and look new.
Front carpets were replaced.
Was resprayed in the original blue.
Tent has been replaced.
Brand new light truck tires.
Includes Yakima roof mounts and long cross bars (not installed).
Custom Mural on inside of pop top.
It really is a thing of beauty.
The Bad:
It is not running.
My understanding is that anyone with any auto mechanical knowledge could get it there in a hurry, it needs to have a mechanical fuel pump installed and a catalytic converter.
Before I bought it, it was converted to a carb from fuel injection.
I am told the fuel pump should have been changed then too which resulted in the damage to the catalytic converter.
