Please note, I am located in Blythe, right off I-10, near the river, which is a couple of hours from the Phoenix area. I will deliver for full asking price to the greater Phoenix area. I am not a dealer. I do not have interest in trading with a dealer.
Like the title reads, I’m selling my 1981 Volkswagen Vanagon. From the German factory, it was hauled to the Westfalia outfitter, which is in Germany, too. This is the full camper set-up, with room for the whole family. Camper features include some of the following (this is all standard):
– Stove
– Fridge (propane, 110 volt, or 12 volt)
– Fresh water holding tank
– Swivel table hardware
– Rear bench seat converts to fold-out bed on the bottom
– Top bunk (roof of Westy converts to tent)
– Driver and passenger seats rotate to face rear
– More
The Alternator, starter, clutch and more are new since prior to parking. The engine and camper components are not installed, so this a project, maybe just a weekend or two.When I purchased the camper a few years back I stripped everything out, even the camper components. Everything is there… everything, just as when purchased. I bought it from my ex neighbor. It was his daily driver until he upgraded and sold to me. I was advised that the brakes were new and everything works great. I did not touch anything on the chassis, just the motor. The motor is ready for re-install and I have a brand new stand I can include. Additionally, I have a new air compressor and new pneumatic tools I can include for additional $.
There is some surface rust on the exterior and other areas in need of minor body work. The interior will need new upholstery, everything but the mint condition top bunk. The pan is beautiful. The bottom of the van is coated in high quality insulation/protectant. All of the electrical looks great and sound. The sliding door works well, but the handle is missing; I do have a temporary handle.
