For sale! 10,000obo! 1981 Volkswagen Vanagon “Riviera”camper edition Air-Cooled! (Basically a westy, slightly different cabinetry and the pop top goes straight up instead of the angle) 152,950 miles-Yakima Roof Racks included
Bought this beauty about 2 years ago and I’v had some great times/camping trips! Starts up everytime. Lots of work/parts(read below)since owning her. Propane/Sink work great, the fridge has been replaced by shelves but I have the original propane fridge with everything(I think) if you’d like it. Recently replaced cylinder heads and gaskets(less than 2000 miles on them). Interior is in excellent condition! Bed sleeps 2 comfortably, and pop top 1, maybe 2 children. Minor rust, seems to have been in the Southwest most of its life but there are some small spots. Includes binder with all work done to it by all other owners(I’m the 3rd)
With some regret selling my baby, for more adventures and a new daily driver. With that in mind, i’m open to a fair trade for a small 4WD truck (Tacoma/Ranger)+ Cash above all, and only cash not dealing with any possible scams.
!!Located in Flagstaff Arizona! Buyer is responsible for pickup. (We can talk if you’re close) This is considered a vintage vehicle as well as a collectible so you are buying this car AS IS!!
Since owning list
-New Cylinder Heads/Gaskets
-New Distributor Cap
-New Catalytic Converter/Muffler
-Very recent oil change
-Clutch recently bled
-Rebuilt airflow sensor (Bus Boys!)
-New Ignition Coil
-New Fuel Pump/Filter
-Got the Radio/Stereos working
-All Hookups including 20amp socket working
Cons
-Very small tear in the pop top, easily stitched up.
-Minor rust
-Shifter could use a new knob, but drives fine.
-One reverse light is out
-Engine cover could use new sound proof material.
-Small amount of stickers on body, but I sticker slapped the shelf door.
Theres a ton i’m missing obviously, but this thing is ready for your next adventure and future camping trips! Apologizes for the Instagram photos, if you want a photo of anything specific let me know!
