Recently moved to Auburn and am without a work area to finish my mostly restored 1980 Westfalia. Completely freshly rebuilt motor by Touring Car (respected high end German shop in Charlotte). Entirely gone through while in their care with many parts replaced beyond the engine, $4k of work by them. I have all reciepts and paperwork. Starts, runs, and drives like a top. Has new orange pop top tent that looks great with the color scheme. New CD player and speakers with auxiliary input. Comes with the rare factory AC with all parts intact. About one third (the hardest part) of the body has so far been completely restored with new gaskets paint and seals and looks factory new. It comes with all the paint, primer, gaskets and seals to finish the job (about $700-800). Has all new Go Westy hook ups and Go Westy auxiliary battery kit installed. Fridge and stove work great, no propane leaks etc. Comes with brand new $100 Bently Manual. New Yokohoma D wall heavy duty tires. New seals on pop top. Hardwood flooring. There is still work to do like front seat upholstery, from finish paint and body, front windshield has a crack etc, but the big expensive stuff is done and done well, and it can roll as it is. Was a Florida car most of its like so only minor surface rust on the parts of the body not finished yet, no rust underneath to speak of. Very solid. Can include portable Shorepower AC that will turn the van to an ice cicle even when camping on an Alabama summer nite.
