Kids are growing up and our needs are changing, so it’s time to offer up our well loved, meticulously maintained, fairly rare and very cool 1985 Westfalia Weekender. It has the pop-top camper but no kitchen, with additional seating and a fold-out table instead.
This has been our adventurewagen and we look forward to passing it on to a new owner.
Too many updates/replacements to list but here are the highlights.
1) Top end rebuild of 1.9l engine in 2010 including rebuilt heads, honed cylinders, new rings, new hoses, new exhaust and muffler. Engine runs good and strong.
2) new automatic transmission in 2013
3) new power steering rack and hoses 2011
4) upgraded headlights/side mirrors
5) new tires 2014 on 15-inch GoWesty wheels.
Interior in excellent shape with no rips or tears in passenger fabric. Driver’s seat is worn. Two small dents in left and right rear corners from previous owner.
Previous owner sanded and primed some light rust. Primer has been there for the six years I’ve owned it with no change or deterioration.
