This camper has taken us on great camping trips, we’re only selling because of a death in the family. Please make offer.
This is a factory VW turbo/intercooled diesel. A big advantage to this setup is if you chose to upgrade to a newer turbo diesel, the engine cradle already has the cutout/provision for the turbo.
Registering the van in California should be viable. Date of manufacture of the van is 8/89, surpassing the 25 year window.

High top, insulated for winter camping. Also cooler in the summer as a result. Picture shows insulation levels.
Diesel 1.6 JX (turbo and intercooler) 90hp – 125lb-ft torque (compare to 2.1 – 95hp – 128lb-ft torque)

Better performance and mileage than 2.1 water, 30+mpg, even fully loaded.
New head, timing belt done 13k miles ago. According to the blog and confirmed by the importer, this happened as they were entering Mexico.
