Original Paint and Undercoat, Zero Rust:
Few simple dings, decal flakes, minor scratches. 1 right rear corner ding meekly repaired size of an orange I may fix.

Original unmolested, unmodified 2.1 liter water-cooled, with Digi-Fant fuel injection.
Syncro full-time 4-wheel drive, with granny low gear, stick shift. No lockers.
4-Wheel independent suspension, factory 2” lift.
Progressive rate heavy duty springs.
Dual batteries: house isolated.

New: Exhaust, starter, clutch, batteries, sky light.

Power assisted brakes with pressure-regulated dual-tandem circuits — front discs 70%, rear pads 30%.

I’ve owned 16 VW Campers, 6 Syncro Westy, and this one is excellent all around. Runs, shifts, drives, climbs, tracks perfect.

The engine bay is a 9.75, sharp.
The interior is a 9.75, amazing time capsule.
The exterior is an 8 — no rust anywhere (it has a chip in the windshield, 1 tacky ding, and could use about $300 in paint-less-dent removal by a pro to take out about 6 small numbers, and some touchup, the tinfoil rear bumper is wrinkly.)

Started new business with $50,000 in cost overruns and lost the summer to remodeling. So… prized possessions have to go.
