1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL – Converted
Clean title
Miles: 124.854
We bought the van a few years ago. We fixed and updated many parts (see below) and also converted it from a passenger van to a camper van. We are now moving and we need to sell our beloved van!
Recent Updates/New parts:
1. Radiator and coolant pipes
2. Fuel Injectors
3. Valve cover gaskets
4. Radius arm and frame plates
5. Both rear wheel cylinders
6. Windshield seal
7. Insulation and carpet
8. Bluetooth stereo and speakers
9. Rearview backup car camera
10. Tires (they have 20000 miles on)
11. New clutch
12. Clutch slave cylinder
13. Clutch master cyliner
We have the mechanic bills and paperwork for the things above.
Conversion to Camper:
1. The sofa reclines and converts to a bed perfect for 2 people
2. The sink is operated by an electric water pump
3. Mini fridge
4. Solar panels (100 watts): we used them to keep the mini fridge on, operate a small microwave, and charge phones/laptop basically. You’d only need new batteries (we bought them for $200 on amazon).
5. Plenty of cabinet space: we did a 4-month roadtrip around the US and had enough space to put our clothes, beach and mountain gear, food, etc.
6. All the blinds have magnets on the corners so they stick to any metal part and they are always in place. We also have reflectix window coverings for all windows so there is no visibility from outside when sleeping or when parking
7. Big center console that locks with key.
8. Roof rack with net
9. Side car awning: it is not in the pictures but can provide pics if you want.
10. Hella lights
Needs:
1. The van has 2 dents (See pictures, it’s the part painted in a different color. They are only aesthetic. You can drive it like that or you can paint the whole van and add or completely remove the grey body skirt.) This was what we wanted to do (remove the skirt and paint the van).
2. There are 2 really small rust spots (see pictures).
