Selling our beloved 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia pop up campervan.

We purchased this with the intention of a restoration project, but were only able to complete the inside. As you can see the interior is done very nicely. It was done with two toned leather upholstery, luxury vinyl flooring and made the kitchen as practical as possible by installing a much bigger refrigerator, sink, herb rack and countertop. We also added the 3 point seatbelts for the kids to be strapped in safely.

We bought it with a rebuilt water cooled engine, transmission, suspension along with a whole list of other receipts. The rebuilt engine was done at about 150,000 miles, so there’s just 35k miles on the new engine. The interior list goes on and on along with the mechanics and BSM suspension. We put the body work off because we were having way to much fun using it. So long story short, all that is left to do is the body work- it’s a job I’m still debating on but thought i’d try my luck selling it as is for a reduced price.

The reason for sale is that we are looking to purchase a boat in the future and have a truck camper so that we can tow the boat. We do love this thing and get compliments everywhere we go. Come check it out!

I’ve heard the stories and seen the price tags that these vans go for. I’m a very reasonable/realistic guy and open to offers, I will say though that we purchased it in 2017 for $12,500, the receipts we have add up to over $15,000 and we have been told the body work will cost $6,000 – $8,000. The sale price has been calculated on actual sold vans for this year camper in this condition.
