Rebuilt and restored 1985 Westfalia Automatic Full Camper w/stove, sink, fridge. I will call her….GOLDMEMBER! Oh, behave!
Whole car has been gone through and anything wrong, has been fixed with virtually zero
miles on it!!!
1)including the Newly rebuilt 1.9L engine with 40 miles on it in December 2014 by
Bugformance in San Jose (recept for $4973 with NEW heads). Most of these cars leak this car
doesn’t and drives perfectly!
2)Front end has NEW brake pads
3)NEW upper ball joints on both sides
4)NEW front brake lines (old ones wear and develop cracks over time)
5)NEW Inner and Outer Tie Rod ends
6)Just Aligned
7)NEW Front heater fan van cafe
8)NEW rear heater core van cafe for heating the back of the van while driving(This is a maintenance
item most of these vans don’t address and is a ticking time bomb if it starts leaking and
most will after 30 years)
9)Has 4 Newer Hankook a808 tires, which are the recommended ones for the weight and load of
these vehicles
10)NEW battery 2014.
11)New paint in September 2014, have before pics of the van. It looks really good and there
are no real dents or dings and it shines!!!
12)New rubber lloyd’s mat for living area
13)Inside the car is clean as a whistle and has all new plywood flooring with the third row
seat option still available and a third row seat which can slide in and out (this makes the
car seat 6 or 7.
14)For the pop top, every other Westy on this site probably has the flocking still on it.
You know, that original VW flocking that is 30 years old and flakes off and makes dust when
you are sleeping in the pop top or worse has mold!!! I couldnt stand it and removed the pop
top like they show in the GO Westy videos and sanded it all off for days and repainted it a
fresh, clean white. This is a sweet upgrade! Also, in 2015, I bought and installed a brand
new canvas pop top: cotton, 3 window from Volks Cafe in Santa Cruz. Made in Germany!
15) Has Fridge, stove and sink with new sink drain hose kit installed 2015!
Just passed smog and is ready to roll. Compare and you’ll see that this is a vanagon that
is ready to hit the road! This is one hot Shaggin Wagon!
