More Details & Pictures
This 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon, Westfalia camper van is in very good condition and would be a lot of fun for a young family!
The air conditioner, paint, seats, curtains, floor, and just about everything else is or looks original. The engine is a gasoline 1.9L (that has just had major repairs), 4 speed manual transmission and RWD. The exterior is Beige/Gold color, and the interior is brown and tan. No accidents or damage has been reported to CARFAX and there is no visible damage to the original paint except on the front where rocks have chipped the paint and for some very mild surface rust.
HISTORY: According to CARFAX, I am the 4th owner and two of the owners were in the same family. It was sold new to the first owner by Melrose Volkswagen in Nashville on October 23, 1985, and I have the original Maintenance Book, Owner’s Manual, Camper Supplement to Owner’s Manual and several other documents. The first owner used the maintenance book through 61,000 miles and in 1992 he sold it to the second owner who lived in Russellville, AL. While the second owner was driving it the odometer stopped working at 06230 where it still sets today which is why the true mileage shows N/A. The 3rd owner (daughter of the 2nd owner) bought it from her dad in 2015 and brought it back to her home in Nashville. When I purchased it in February 2022 it needed major engine work and other issues to bring it up to very good condition.
RECENT REPAIRS: After purchase, I took it to Ray’s Import Auto Repair in Murfreesboro and asked him to fix what’s wrong. They spent a lot of time and effort to fix it up the way I wanted it and I have the receipt for $ 9,908 which I have posted in the photo section. Most of the cost were for the following: Engine, Air Conditioning, New Exhaust System, New Fuel Tank, Brakes and a New Battery. It is ready for Owner #5’s new adventures.
SELLING PROCESS: This vehicle is insured, registered, with a current Tennessee license plate and is ready to go. I have a clear, clean, Tennessee Title in my name, and I will also provide the buyer a Bill of Sale. I am selling this vehicle “as-is” with no warranty expressed or implied, however, I will disclose everything I know about the camper including receipts for work completed, original documents, and CARFAX. I do not need any help selling my VW camper and if it is still listed it is still available.
