History- 1st owner ordered van with factory installed tinted windows, all except the windshield, AC and an extra trim and pin strips down each side. Owned for 16 years. Gowesty bought van and upgraded, fixed and added as per 2nd owners needs. Owned for 3 years and I bought in 2007.All repair receipts, all manuals(7) and a Haynes repair manual (never used) are included.
Cool Stuff- 2nd owner got Gowesty to install really comfy Italian made blue Recaro captains chairs and upgraded the 4 speakers with new high performance ones.Later on I installed a new Alpine blue tooth CD receiver and a Bazooka sub woofer and the whole new scene sounds great.
Drive Train- this is the original stock 2.1 litre water cooled engine, rebuilt heads were installed at 147,000 mi. New rebuilt automatic transmission was installed at 166,000 mi.
Exterior- body has minor scratches but the paint is in good condition and shiny. I think the first owner parked inside all winter and so have I. No cracks or rock damage on windows, except some marks on metal panel on windshield under the bra. I have pictures. New Nokian tires at 175,000 mi.16 inch alloyed wheels, 10ft Fiamma awning, replacement propane tank, two inch hitch, and three window pop top canvas.
Camper Area- all original and looks good with the predictable wear of time in hardly noticeable places. All original curtains and snaps are working and look great. Two tables, bed/bench and cabinets in great shape. Fridge and cooktop have been serviced, fridge works well in all three modes but the propane can be tricky to ignite until you get the correct information.
Extras inside Camper- complete two battery system that separates wiring from van motor battery. New deep cell battery installed in August. 800watt/1600peak inverter. Portable volt meter/dash mounted solar panel, fire extinguisher, two piece camper carpet, high quality black rubber mats, new upgraded faucet at sink, two inch memory foam made to fit on top of stock bed, two side window screens, removable slide door screen, back of seat organizer.
Upgrades not mentioned- leather South African style steering wheel, headlight high power relay kit, upgraded shocks and lift kit, new starter motor and stainless steel exhaust system. Note: New exhaust system has added 5/10 % more power from a stand still, 0 – 40 mi per hour. Mosom van cover GoWesty $232.00 us$ bought in 2005. Leather bra to protect front of van from rocks, one pop top load assist kit GW-V-TOP-LOAD not installed.
Full disclosed items- not blowing cold air conditioner, has a new compressor etc… see invoice #7800 Broad Street auto repair San Luis Obispo. Rear heater is disconnected because cracked elbow was leaking water. Main heater works really well. There is a miss in the motor only when you try to feather the gas pedal, John at VanWonder Repair, North Vancouver, BC said it was Not a problem. The cause is a worn throttle valve housing, Go Westy $280. Don’t trust the city water hookup, it may leak. Fill up water tank for sink usage.
There are numerous small items under $50.that will be included with a amiable sale. They would be approximately $500. to replace.
