1982 Vanagon Westfalia Diesel!
204k miles on body.
This Vanagon Camper has had 3 owners, we’ve owned it for 11 years and for at least the past 25 years it has been garage kept. We have the original purchase agreement from the dealer and even the WINDOW STICKER! That has to be rare, and a sign of how well kept this van has been over the past 38 years. Smooth running. The “Goose” is mostly stock, but has had some upgrades. Important ones:
2000 – Engine (1.6L Diesel) was rebuilt, and has since had 55,000 miles put on it since then.
2005 – New Driver’s seat
2009 – Stainless steel coolant lines run underneath to radiator in front
2009 – Transmission rebuilt
2009 – Roof repainted, fresh hardware and seals
2009 – New Supervan tires, brakes
2009 – Backup battery installation for 110V outlet with inverter. Charges when the engine is running, and disconnects from starter battery when stopped.
2009 – Replaced struts for back door
Clean title, ready for the campsite. In 2010, we took this girl all over the US starting in NC and traveling between National Parks and it performed beautifully, albeit slow, but that was the point. No problems all the way to Mt Whitney, Red Rocks, Zion, Yosemite, Bend, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Rocky Mtn Nat’l Park, the list goes on. This is the perfect social distancing, load and go camper.
Includes all the stock items: refrigerator (working: propane, 12V or 110V), stove, propane tank, tables (come apart for storage). I built a pillow board for the upper bed (in back of popup in the photo), so once you’re up there set the board in place and now it’s a full bed (no gap). I’m 6’1” and this is absolutely necessary. Original canvas in good shape, I had to cut out a section of the canvas due to some holes, and added a screen, works great, opens up some airflow up there. We also have the Bentley repair manual.
Let me know if you have any questions, I’m sad to let her go, but I’d like to see the Goose back out in the woods!
